The story of this beautiful song began on an ordinary afternoon, July 27th, 2024, which was not so ordinary for the career of this young girl.
She told us, “A persistent melody kept echoing in her mind, prompting her to record it on her phone and jot down lines in her notebook.”
“Within minutes, I had the chorus of what would become my debut single. The creative spark was immediate and powerful, setting the tone for the rest of the development of the song,” she added.
Collaboration has always uplifted the career of an artist. In her case also, it played a key role in bringing this debut song to life. Drishika teamed up with producer Durgeesh Khot, whose arrangement and production elevated the track to new heights.
After finishing the lyrics in January 2025, she sent the draft to Durgeesh. He completed the production. By April, the final vocals were recorded, and together they mixed and mastered the song. Thus, she credits Durgeesh’s input as essential to the project’s success.
Growth of an Indie Artist
The journey to releasing Lafz was not without its challenges, which reminds us that any remarkable artwork takes effort. She faced moments of self-doubt, late-night recording sessions, and the constant process of experimenting with new sounds.
